Admission Procedures
Thank You For Choosing Bayfront Medical Center We are committed to providing quality medical care and a very good patient experience – starting with your registration and scheduling process. To ensure your registration and scheduling is complete, accurate and convenient, please read the guidelines below and note that the processes are different for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
 

Inpatient Admission Procedures

Bayfront's admitting office, located in the front lobby, just off 6th Street South, is the first stop you will make if you are admitted to the hospital overnight. Even patients, who have registered online or by phone in advance, will still need to check in at admitting.

Be sure to bring your social security card, identification (driver's license or photo ID), insurance card, any paperwork you have received from your doctor and your Advance Directives (living will, power of attorney or healthcare surrogate documentation).

To protect the security of your identity, our staff will confirm your address and take copies of your identification and insurance cards every time you are admitted to the hospital.

You will want to leave all of your valuables – wallet, money, credit cards, jewelry and similar items at home or give them to your family members at the time of admission.

A Bayfront financial counselor is available should you have questions about insurance or billing. Co-pays or deductibles are due at the time you receive hospital services. You can also review a brochure of frequently asked questions.

 

Outpatient Admission Procedures

If your doctor has ordered an outpatient test of procedure (examples: blood test, chest e\x-ray) please make an appointment by calling Bayfront Central Scheduling at (727)893-6044. At the time of your call, you will be scheduled and given any instructions related to your procedure. You can then pre-register online or by phone by calling the same phone number.

On the day of your test or procedure, be sure to bring your social security card, proof of identification (driver's license or photo ID), insurance card and any paperwork you have received from your doctor).
